Meet our SRO!

Welcome to the Highlands Elementary Cowboy Crew, Officer Camacho
My name is Frances Camacho. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to New York at the age of 9, where I learned English and how to build a snowman. Later, I relocated to Vero Beach, Florida, to be closer to family and went on to graduate from the Indian River State College Police Academy.
Seeking new opportunities, I moved to Kissimmee, Florida, where I began my career in public safety as a dispatcher with the Kissimmee Police Department. Shortly thereafter, I was honored to be sworn in as a police officer.
I have a deep appreciation for nature, especially beaches and rivers, shaped by my upbringing. I enjoy coffee and am passionate about animals, especially as a dedicated husky mom. Most importantly, I am proud to serve as the School Resource Officer at Highlands Elementary School, where I am committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.
